1. Whate'er my God ordains is right, and, in His will abiding, I will be still, whate'er betide, and go where He is guiding. My God is He, makes evil flee, from falling He does hold me; I therefore trust Him only.
2. Whate'er my God ordains is right, He is my whole existence. He lets no evil me betide; I'll show Him no resistance. In joy and grief I hold belief 'twill soon be manifested that we in love were tested.
3. Whate'er my God ordains is right; this is the stand I've taken. Through sorrow, need and bitter plight I'll never be forsaken. My Father's care I daily share, His loving arms enfold me; I therefore trust Him only.
