God Rescues

Series Overview

We all love a good rescue story where a hero arrives just in time to save the day. Because of our sin, we need to be rescued. And God had the perfect plan for a rescue mission to save His people. God's plan started long ago when He promised a Redeemer and a Rescuer. This series, God Rescues, dives into four Old Testament stories of God working out His rescue plan among His people.

Lesson 1

Jacob’s son, Joseph, is sold into slavery and wrongfully imprisoned. Yet God is with him, and Joseph rises to influence in Egypt.

Lesson 2

God sends Moses to ask Pharaoh to let His people leave Egypt, where they are slaves. Pharaoh refuses repeatedly, and each time God shows His power.

The Exodus

Lesson 3

With Pharaoh’s army pursuing, God provides an escape route for His people through the Red Sea. Later in the wilderness, God cares for their needs by providing bread, water, and meat.

Lesson 4

After the Israelites wander the wilderness for 40 years, God leads a new generation of His people across the Jordan River and into the promised land!
