Episode 102 - The Fiery Furnace

In this episode of For Your Journey, District Apostle Schnabel shares his reflections on a powerful service from the Chief Apostle in early 2025 in Cúcuta, Colombia. The message was based on the story of the fiery furnace from Daniel 3.

The Chief Apostle chose to hold the service near the Venezuelan border, where many members, some traveling over 50 hours by bus, gathered  together. Over 1,300 people came, creating a moving and emotional experience for all.

The sermon highlighted that God doesn’t always prevent hardship, but He never leaves us to face it alone. Just like the three men in the furnace, God didn’t stop the suffering, but He entered it with them. District Apostle Schnabel draws a parallel to Jesus on the cross, how He, too, stepped into the ultimate “furnace” for our sake.

This episode also explores how our “fiery furnaces” today might look different, like dealing with uncertainty, too many choices, or feeling overwhelmed, especially for young adults. Even in those moments, we are reminded, God is already ahead of us. He knows what’s coming and invites us to trust Him.

The key is to stay rooted in our identity in Christ. The three men in Daniel stayed true to who they were, even under pressure, and that’s when they experienced God’s help most clearly.

It’s a powerful reminder: whatever we’re facing, God is with us and He’s already working on our deliverance.
