1. Eternal Father, true and kind, Thou chose me by Thy grace; O let Thy light within me shine, here, in Thy holy place! My fears, my sorrow, grief and pain, dear Lord, I cast on Thee. Thro’ Thy Apostles’ word again Thou shall my soul make free. 
2. O gracious Lord, redeem my soul, redeem my heart from sin; And help me reach the greatest goal: The crown of life to win! O hear my pleading, hear my cry: “Lord Jesus, come!” I pray. That soon I’ll dwell with Thee on high, O hasten, Lord, that day!
