1. We would our Saviour see who died on Calvary, who has the curse of sin borne in our stead. For us His blood He shed that we may blessed be; He, through His love for us, death's way did tread.
2. We would our Saviour see ev'n in extremity; in joy or sorrow, in need, when distressed; firmly abiding in faith and in modesty, trusting His counsel while knowing it's best.
3. We would our Saviour see when shadows dark appear, spreading the gloom of night over life's way; and when our feet become weary, when night is near, and from the pathway they then go astray.
4. We would our Saviour see make this a certainty; we strive, with love, to appear as His bride. His Holy Spirit provides our security; He builds His kingdom for those glorified.
