1. To pray to God in heaven is wonderful and sweet. O child, be glad to give Him your heart, your thanks complete. The words are not spoken according to one's mind, but thankful hearts betoken a soul to God inclined.
2. So, quietly, dear children, devote yourselves to prayer for God knows how to bless them whose hearts are thus laid bare. Each word is a treasure that childlike lips present; on this will rest His pleasure, with this He is content.
3. On bended knees, dear children, when young, your hearts prepare. Let virtue be increased then for this is found through prayer. God's love will uplift you, new strength through prayer will come. Let God direct in virtue, your Guide let Him become.
