1. Sing praises on this festive day with new inspired voices. All who the Spirit's call obey with laud and praise rejoices. A rushing wind with might came down from heaven's height; the Spirit of the Lord from God's own Son outpoured. A thousand tongues now praise Him.
2. We praise Thee now, God's very Own, to Him, Thy Lord, returning, there to receive at His high throne the fullness of Thy earning. That promised covenant, the Spirit Thou hast sent, creating life and light, instilled with pow'r and might: a comforting assurance.
3. Praise Him who has ordained and sent the heralds who inspire us, who made with us a covenant, with fire and Spirit filled us. From ev'ry tongue is heard the power of God's word. The gospel call is clear; let all the world give ear until all people serve Him.
4. Come, hasten! The dear Lord appeals to ev'ry tongue and nation. He who with fire and Spirit seals still offers all salvation. God's Church in unity will stand eternally; despite the storms and gale, when waves and floods prevail, firm stands God's congregation.
