1. Seek early in life's morning, go in the strength of your youth to buy for your adorning the pearls of grace and truth. This heav'nly, blessed treasure hold fast with all your might. Exchange it for no pleasure and seek the Godly light, and seek the Godly light.
2. Go while the sun is shining, casting aside all your fear, with joy and bliss combining, for Christ will soon appear. The earthly things are fleeting and may from God estrange. With wealth and world competing, do not God's grace exchange, do not God's grace exchange.
3. When earthly sorrows threaten bring unto God all your pain. Delay not 'till tomorrow the truth in God to gain. Give God your soul and spirit while still in youthful state; your heart will find true merit, to God it dedicate, to God it dedicate.
