1. O love, the golden sunshine bright, of weary human hearts, when in my heart it sheds its light, all pain from me departs. The darkness fades and night must flee where Jesus' love does shine, and peace and happiness flow free within the hearts that pine.
2. When from the cross that ray of love pierced through my night of sin and brought me sunshine from above, I woke to God within. Since then I know who loved me true, yes, even unto death. My heart shall now His will pursue; praise Him in ev'ry breath!
3. The Sun that shines my fears to quell and offers bliss to me is Jesus, my Immanuel, for all eternity! I'll sing to Him my joyful song while in this vale of tears and ever with the heav'nly throng when He to me appears.
