Lyrics

1. Now this year, too, has ended, yet Your love does remain; Your hands still mete out blessings and I Your grace retain. The ties of fortune weaken, earth's treasures soon decay. The best of friends will waver; Your love does with us stay.
2. The lure of youth does vanish, the strength of man soon wanes, but he in spirit rises who You as Friend retains. The old year now has vanished, a new year is at hand, but since, O Lord, I've found You, rejoicing, firm I stand.
3. And should there rise before me the old year's sins anew, by grace, through Your forgiveness, You help me them subdue. My help in great afflictions; my help in sin and fear. O God, grant grace and blessing to me in this new year.
