1. Lord, with fervence do we pray, bless this couple here today. They their lives devote to Thee so they wholly Thine may be! Fill their cov'nant with Thy pow'r now at this and ev'ry hour and let the sunshine of Thy love in their hearts shine from above! Grant, O Lord, that by Thy grace they their pilgrimage may trace.
2. Bless the labour of their hands, give them strength for life's demands. And with courage true to be, unashamed to follow Thee. And if mis'ry, want or care should upon their hearts once bear, be Thou to them in ev'ry need, faithful God, a help indeed. Grant Thou also after pain, joy to fill their hearts again.
3. Let them one in spirit be, of Thy Spirit fruits to see. Burdens bearing hand in hand as Thou, Lord, didst once command. Lead them safely by Thy hand till they reach the better land. Lord, let them ever watchful be and prepared to live for Thee, that when they their lives lay down, they may wear the victor's crown!
