1. Lord, Thou camest in compassion like a shepherd to his sheep. Rich in blessing Thou dost fashion, Lord, if near Thy staff we keep.
2. How could mortal tongue be telling what to Thy flock Thou art worth? Nothing here is Thee excelling, nothing greater on this earth!
3. How could need and danger frighten when we hold Thy mighty arm? No! Thy word and staff enlighten, shelter us anew from harm.
4. Should the tempter make us fearful, who provides new strength and peace? Who can lift up, help and carry, who has power to release?
5. Lord, in grace Thy flock Thou takest unto Thee in love today. Through Thy messengers completing Thy great plan without delay.
