Lyrics

1. In God's kingdom I long to be: O what beauty I there shall see. After strife, scorn and pain, there a crown I shall gain and my Saviour I there shall see.
2. In God's kingdom I would remain free from sorrow and death and pain. Where all darkness is gone, ever bright shines the sun in that blessed and heav'nly home.
3. In God's kingdom I would find rest and shall meet the redeemed and blest. There we'll walk hand in hand on that sweet pearly strand where soft breezes the soul caress.
4. In God's kingdom I want to be, where the blessed ones all things see. Where all faults and discord among brethren are naught; in the image of Christ then free!
5. In God's kingdom I wish to stand. Hence I'm praying: "Lord, take my hand. O my soul now prepare, raiment white there to wear at the wedding feast great and grand!"
Refrain: Blessed hope, O how pure and sweet, in Paradise joy's complete. My Bridegroom is there, a place did prepare and I shall Him surely meet.
