1. Hallelujah! Fairest morning! Fairer than our words can say! We lay down the earthly burden of life's toil and care today, while this morn of joy and love brings fresh vigour from above.
2. Sunday, full of grace and glory, sweetest rest day of the soul! Here within a world of darkness do your blessings us console. Holy, happy, heav'nly day, you can drive our grief away.
3. In the gladness of Your worship, we will seek ourjoy today. It is then we taste the fullness of the grace for which we pray and the word of life is giv'n, like the manna once from heav'n.
4. Let the day with You be ended as with You it has begun. And Your blessing, Lord, be granted till our days on earth are done. that at last Your children may, keep eternal Sabbath day.
