Take a moment to reflect on the following lyrics from this song: "You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name; You are amazing, God! Incomparable, unchangeable, You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same; You are amazing, God!"
How humbling it is, and how awestruck we become, when we stop for a moment to consider that the same Almighty God that created the heavens and the earth ("You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name") also knows us intimately ("sees the depths of our hearts"), and, in spite of this, still loves us the same. Would any human—even those whom we love, and who love us, most dearly—continue to love us unconditionally if they knew us as intimately as God knows us; if they could see the depths of our heart? We know the answer. How amazing our God is, then, and how far above us! His love toward us is overwhelming, everlasting, unconditional, and undeserved.
Ponder this truth today, and let it impact your prayers and praise.
