1 John 3:1
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

God is the Father of all people, He loves them with the same love and wants to save them. Believers reborn out of water and the Spirit who focus their lives on Christ’s return will inherit eternal life. We give priority to our godly filiation and the unity of the Church.

Philippians 2:8
“He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

The Son of God renounced His glory to show His love to humankind. Jesus Christ renounced Himself to be in fellowship with God. His love and obedience give us access to salvation. To be saved, we must believe in Jesus Christ, love God and love our neighbor.

Mark 6:41
“And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.”

Jesus Christ gives us the bread of eternal life. The effectiveness of the word and Holy Communion depend on our willingness to change. We serve Christ by proclaiming the gospel. We do this in faith, out of love for Him and our neighbor.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
“We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father.”

We believe in Christ and His work of salvation. Our faith shapes our lives. We love Christ and work to become like Him. We love our neighbors and contribute to their salvation. We hope for Christ’s return and prepare ourselves for it.
